THE LIBERATOR
Did you know you can get The Liberator, LASA/LBJ's award winning student newspaper, delivered right to your home?
For the third time, The Liberator has won the 'Pacemaker Award', known as the Pulitzer Prize of high school journalism, at the national journalism convention held in St. Louis, November 2008. The Pacemaker, the top national award given by the National Scholastic Press Association, recognizes a publication for general excellence and outstanding achievement by a high school newspaper in a national competition. The publication is judged on design, writing, graphics, photography, coverage, and overall impact. This award recognizes The Liberator's complete body of work from the 2007-08 school year. In addition, The Liberator won fourth place in Best of Show out of 175 papers. (The Liberator has also been a 'Pacemaker Finalist' for three additional years.)
To order The Liberator to be sent to your home for the academic year, download the PTSA membership
